MedTech Innovator Announces Finalists for Fifth Annual Asia Pacific Competition
Four companies to compete in the Grand Finals hosted by MedTech Innovator in partnership with APACMed
LOS ANGELES and SINGAPORE – November 24, 2023 – MedTech Innovator, the world’s largest accelerator of medical technology companies, today announced the finalists from its 24-company 2023 Asia Pacific Accelerator Cohort. The four finalists include:
- Healium Medical (Israel): automated dual-mode ultrasound ablation platform for effective atrial fibrillation treatment
- Medipixel (South Korea): AI-based coronary angio-image analysis system during PCI
- Module Innovations (India): ultra-rapid detection of antibiotic susceptibility of bacterial infections in hours and not days
- Vivo Surgical (Singapore): pioneering a flexible endoscope robot for advanced endoscopic surgeries deep within the gastrointestinal tract
Each finalist will receive US$ 10,000 and the chance to compete for the US$ 175,000 non-dilutive Grand Prize. The competitions will take place at the APACMed MedTech Forum, 5-6 December, in Singapore. During the competition finals, which will be held on the plenary stage on Tuesday, December 5, at 1600 hrs SGT, each of the four companies will pitch their technology and answer questions from a panel of renowned industry judges. After the presentations, the audience will vote in real-time to select the winner.
Other awards being presented to the 2023 cohort include the Best Video competition, with a prize of US$ 5,000; a US$ 25,000 in-kind-award from Cambridge Consultants; and the inaugural Olympus Asia Pacific Innovation Program, where the winning innovator will receive grant funding of US$ 75,000 as well as an exclusive mentorship program with key thought leaders from Olympus.

Over 400 companies applied for the Asia Pacific program this year, and after a rigorous selection process, 60 companies were invited to pitch, with 24 being selected for the four-month accelerator program. Featuring medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies from around the globe, the 2023 finalists received unparalleled visibility and access to leading medtech manufacturers, providers, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
