Advancing Diagnostic and Medical Device Innovations to Strengthen the Diagnosis and Response to Health Security Threats and their Consequences
MedTech Innovator (MTI) Vantage is at the forefront of innovation for diagnostic and medical device technologies. Vantage supports medtech startups building diagnostic and patient monitoring technologies, pathogen-agnostic detection tools, and medical devices that enhance clinical decision-making and improve on-site clinical care.
MTI Vantage stands ready to support startups in deploying innovative medical countermeasures that enhance the United States’ preparedness and response posture against health security threats.
Vantage is a joint initiative between MedTech Innovator, the largest global accelerator for medical technology, and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
What We Offer
Medtech Innovator Vantage Opportunities
MedTech Innovator Vantage consists of two annual programs: an accelerator program as part of the core MedTech Innovator accelerator cohort, and a non-dilutive funding program for product development, evaluation, and validation projects. Companies may apply to either or both programs. In addition, MTI Vantage has the capability to launch other focused funding opportunities to advance the development of next-generation diagnostics and devices that enhance preparedness for and response to health security threats.

Our Partnership
The BARDA Accelerator Network
In Partnership with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority
The BARDA Accelerator Network aims to provide comprehensive support to health security innovators and startups with non-dilutive funding, wrap-around accelerator services, technical and business/commercialization expertise, and other resources. The network will advance the rapid development, evaluation, validation and commercialization of medical countermeasures.
Consisting of five Hubs, the network is built to drive growth in the startup ecosystem by speeding up the creation and market entry of cutting-edge health security solutions. Each Hub sources promising early-stage innovations within their specialized technology areas and offers funding to evaluate the feasibility of these concepts and provides resources for commercialization, helping to fast-track product development and validation.
