Description
The Sniper line of balloon microcatheters comprise a unique and patented means of catheter construction with ultra-thin walls and a balloon positioned in a pocket below the surface of the catheter. This provides devices with the lowest profile to access small distal blood vessels. The Sniper’s balloon occludes the vessel to alter blood flow-dynamics using pressure-directed embolization. This increases therapeutic agent delivery into target areas while protecting surrounding healthy tissue. The products were initially designed for tumor embolization and are now used for treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, utirine fibroids, and other primary tumors and vascular diseases. It is presently available in 6 versions and marketed in the US and Europe.
