Protembis

Protembis develops a novel transradial and intra-aortic cerebral protection device that minimizes stroke risk related to transcatheter aortic valve implantations (TAVI/ TAVR) and various other interventional and surgical heart procedures. The ProtEmbo is delivered via radial access through a 6 French delivery catheter and is intended for transient use during TAVI. The ProtEmbo is placed in the aortic arch and allows physicians to optimally protect the patient’s brain during TAVI by deflecting embolic particles away from all arteries leading to the cerebral vasculature. The ProtEmbo is integrating seamlessly into cathlab workflow and creates the opportunity to critically improve patient safety and to significantly reduce follow up cost due to cerebrovascular events.
