Working as an emergency and critical care physician at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Steven Tropello is seeing the lack of protective equipment for medical workers up close. With emails from colleagues going to Lowe’s hardware store to find supplies, Dr. Tropello was resolved to create a better solution. Gauss, a leading developer of digital decision-support tools for the medical frontlines, in partnership with Evive, the leader in enterprise communications and benefits engagement, has today announced the nationwide release of Apollo, a free Apple iOS app and WebApp, to help increase safety and efficiency of drive-through COVID-19 screening and testing for patients and health workers. Nanomix Awarded BARDA Contract for Development of Rapid, Mobile, Point-of-Care Assays to Detect COVID-19 Infection

Nanomix, a leader in the development of mobile, affordable, point-of-care diagnostics, today announced that the company has been awarded up to approximately $570,000 in funding from Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
