BioTools Innovator Announces the 2023 Finalists
Four Cohort Companies Will Vie for the $250,000 Grand Prize at the
BioTools Innovator Capstone Event on October 12th
LOS ANGELES – September 29, 2023- BioTools Innovator, the first ever accelerator focused on life science tools, announced today the four finalists in its 2023 program. Selected from a 19-company cohort, the finalists will vie for the $250,000 non-dilutive Grand Prize and the title of 2023 BioTools Innovator at the Capstone Event on October 12 in Carlsbad, Calif.

The four finalist companies are:
Andson Biotech (Atlanta) – High-throughput, microfluidic enabled platforms for at-line and inline mass spectrometry
Aopia Biosciences (Pleasanton, Calif.) – NanoEX, a next generation exosome isolation platform unlocking the full potential of EV for diagnostics and therapeutics
BioRaptor (Binyamina, Israel) – The operating system for biotechnology companies, an end-to-end AI powered data platform for high complexity bioprocesses
Limula (Lausanne, Switzerland) – Modular and automated platform for scale down/scale out cell therapy manufacturing.
Located near the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa, the BioTools Innovator Capstone Event brings together senior executives, investors, and top decision-makers in the industry. The event, supported by Thermo Fisher Scientific, features keynote presentations, a company showcase with the BioTools Innovator 2023 cohort and the $250,000 Grand Prize competition. During the competition finals, each of the four finalists will have nine minutes to pitch their technology and answer questions from a panel of judges. After the presentations, the audience will vote in real-time to select the winner.

As part of a rigorous selection process, together with the senior leadership teams of its corporate partners at Research Corporation Technologies, Broad Oak Capital Partners, Nissan Chemical America Corporation, and over 80 industry judges from leading life science firms, BioTools Innovator evaluated the pitches of 37 candidates out of more than 300 applicants from 26 countries and 28 U.S. states. Nineteen companies were then selected to participate in the BioTools Innovator Accelerator, which prominently features best-in-class life science startups from around the world.
