Tueo Health Oversubscribes Seed Round to Support Clinical Study and Growth

Tueo Health, a digital health start-up company that has developed a unique solution for monitoring and managing pediatric asthma, has closed $1.1 million in seed round funding. The seed financing was led by Launchpad Digital Health, with participation from Plug and Play, and other strategic angel investors.
“Asthma is a costly chronic disease that affects more than 7 million children in the US alone,” said Tueo Founder and CEO, Bronwyn Harris, MD. “Over half of asthma related direct healthcare costs are from hospital-based care that could be avoided by better asthma control.”
According to Harris, poor asthma control not only increases healthcare utilization, but results in missed school days, impaired academic performance, and lower overall quality of life. “Tueo Health empowers families to better manage their child’s asthma,” says Harris.
