OrthoGrid Systems Partners with Osso VR

OrthoGrid Systems Inc is partnering with Osso VR, a validated virtual reality (VR) surgical training platform, to improve patient outcomes with higher quality, repeatable procedures and VR. OrthoGrid Systems’ technology solutions result in computer-assisted surgical navigation for orthopedic procedures and correct the phenomenon of fluoroscopic image distortion, helping to achieve a higher level of accuracy.  This partnership allows surgeons to become familiar with OrthoGrid’s navigation system and better understand fluoroscopic distortion and its impact on surgical outcomes.

OrthoGrid specializes in live, intraoperative, AI-powered, radiographic assessment and alignment technologies for orthopedic surgery, with applications for hip arthroplasty, hip preservation, and trauma surgery.

“As a leading innovator in surgical technologies, we are further disrupting industry norms by utilizing emerging technologies like VR as an integral component of our training pathway,” said Edouard Saget, co-CEO and co-founder of OrthoGrid. “Our partnership with Osso VR allows surgeons to adapt to our technology quicker and practice anytime, anywhere, as if they had a C-arm and an OR in their pocket. With VR, we’ll be able to reach a larger, global audience of surgeons faster in order to improve the lives of exponentially more patients.”

Osso VR is being incorporated into surgical training programs worldwide. It is now used by more than 20 teaching hospitals and trains nearly 1,000 surgeons monthly in 17 countries.

“Our companies are strongly aligned in our missions to improve patient outcomes and democratize access to quality care. With this partnership, we can give surgeons in our network another tool to continue to push the limits of what’s possible when it comes to providing value for their patients,” said Justin Barad, MD, CEO and co-founder of Osso VR.
