Avenda Health Inc., a biomedical device company based in Santa Monica, has closed a funding round of $3.3 million, according to a securities filing released April 11. The company founded by a two Ph.Ds and an MD from UCLA sold $3,325,000 in securities to 18 investors, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Johnson & Johnson acquires C-SATS, a University of Washington spinout that grades surgeons
Johnson & Johnson today announced the acquisition of C-SATS, a Seattle startup that uses technology to facilitate performance reviews for surgeons. Founded in 2014 and spun out of the University of Washington, C-SATS built a cloud-based performance management system that evaluates surgeons and helps improve their skills.
