Bloom Technologies Takes First Prize in Extreme Tech Challenge

February 10, 2016 — Necker Island, British Virgin Islands — A company dedicated to saving the lives of pre-term babies captured the attention of Sir Richard Branson and other judges at the Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC) finals today, as Bloom Technologies took first place out of over 2,000 entrants.

Pre-term birth is the leading killer of children under the age of five. Bloom Technologies’ wearable device, Belli, tracks the most important physiological parameters of mom and baby with the goal of empowering moms with more information to have a healthy pregnancy. While still in beta, Belli has managed to attract a cult following of hundreds of savvy expectant moms.
