A bracelet that triggers the production of endorphins, without addiction, featuring Remedee

The start-up, which has already obtained a patent for its invention, hopes to conduct a clinical trial in 2021 and 2022.

And if the pain could be managed without medication ? This is precisely what the Grenoble-based start-up Remedee Labs aims to do. She has developed a microelectronic module barely 1 cm2 in size (integrated in a bracelet) which, using millimeter waves, stimulates nerve endings with extreme precision, triggering the release of endorphins providing a fast and natural pain relief. These very high frequency waves (60 GHz) act on the brain and do not cause side effects or addiction, we say at Remedee Labs.

A patent has already been obtained. Remedee Labs is now scheduled to conduct a clinical trial, scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2021, for a period of 12 months. This project is being carried out jointly with the CHU Grenoble Alpes, the Clinatec research center, the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (Inserm) and the company STMicroelectronics.
