Laura Yecies, CEO of Osteoboost Health, named to Forbes’ Women 50 Over 50 list in the Innovation category
One in every two women over the age of 50 will break a bone due to osteoporosis, but Laura Yecies is working to reduce that risk. As the CEO of Osteoboost, Yecies oversees a company making the first FDA-cleared wearable device shown to slow bone loss in postmenopausal women with osteopenia. The product uses vibration technology in a wearable belt that goes around a person’s hips, and earlier this year the company secured $8 million in funding to better scale its commercial reach.
