Dr. Amit Vohra Awarded the “Top 100 Leaders in Health Care” at IFAH, Vegas 2019
LAS VEGAS – July 9, 2019 – PRLog — Amit Vohra was conferred with the “Top 100 Leaders in Health Care” award for his significant contributions towards the health care sector at IFAH 2019, held at Caesars Palace, Vegas on June 18-20, 2019.
Promaxo has designed an open MRI system to image the internal structures of the body. The system is designed for a physician’s office without considerable facility upgrades. With a limited footprint and fringe field, the system can be easily moved and placed inside a standard office. The system consists of a magnet cart housing the magnet, gradient coils, radio-frequency (RF) coil, and an auxiliary rack housing the electronics and electrical components.
When asked about his vision for the company, Amit Vohra, President and CEO of Promaxo, said,”Our vision is to make MRI accessible to the general masses. We can provide a cheaper alternative by placing an MRI into an office based setting rather than from a hospital setting. We can enable live MRI diagnosis and treatment by incorporating Robotics as well as AI”.
Dr. Vohra is a serial entrepreneur, business strategist, and adviser to several health care and technology start-ups. He is a Board Member at Navaux and a West Coast Advisory Board Member for the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida. Prior to Promaxo, Dr.Vohra was the CEO & President of Convergent Life Sciences wherein he took a product through FDA clearance within 18 months of the company’s formation.
