symplr®, a leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) based healthcare compliance and credentialing solutions, and GreenLight Medical, a leading provider of hospital value analysis software for the new product introduction process, today announced a partnership creating an end-to-end vendor management solution for the healthcare industry.

“The GreenLight and symplr integration has been a game-changer for our Supply Chain Services and Value Analysis Committee process flows. Being able to use both systems in tandem helps us and our vendor representatives work more efficiently together,” said Douglas Clark, Director of Supply Chain Services at Montage Health, a full-service health system in Monterey, California.

The collaboration between symplr’s Vendor Credentialing solution and GreenLight Medical’s Value Analysis platform guarantees that a vendor is compliant with a medical facility’s credentialing requirements and policies prior to submitting a new product for evaluation, reducing time and resources spent on managing vendor compliance with hospital policies.

“By partnering with GreenLight, our integrated solution secures the entire system while streamlining the product review process,” said Rick Pleczko, President and CEO of symplr. “This partnership makes perfect sense because both companies are on a mission to simplify healthcare processes while ensuring a patient’s safety and security – this is at the heart of everything we do.”

When a vendor enters the GreenLight Medical Value Analysis platform after being invited to submit a product for consideration, the symplr-GreenLight integration automatically checks whether or not the vendor is already credentialed and allowed to conduct business at the healthcare facility prior to submission of the requested product information. This automated checkpoint increases the effectiveness of supply chain policies and procedures.

“The process for introducing new products to a medical facility has completely transformed in the past five years,” said Austin Dirks, CEO of GreenLight Medical. “A physician used to individually determine products he or she needed for a hospital procedure. Now a Value Analysis Committee takes on the arduous task of accepting and evaluating new product requests through a tedious process typified by spreadsheets and emails. With difficulties in physician communication in addition to managing the financial understanding of new supply spend, many hospitals are turning to GreenLight to help jumpstart this process and their approach to value analysis. Oftentimes in this approach the hospital may not even factor in whether or not the product vendor is compliant with the facility. By partnering with symplr, we protect the hospital with the first-of-its-kind application to manage both vendor credentialing compliance and new product request policy seamlessly.”

symplr and GreenLight Medical will be at the AHRMM conference sharing information about the vendor management integration on Aug. 12-15, 2018, in booths #111 and #246, respectively.
