IntuiTap Medical, a medical device company that grew from the inaugural class of TMC’s Biodesign program, is a nominee in Tech.Co‘s Startup of the Year competition. IntuiTap developed their product, a device that increases the accuracy of spinal taps by integrating spinal imaging with needle guidance and analytics, in response to an extensive needs assessment the Biodesign fellows undertook at the beginning of the program.

The growing company recently completed its first institutional review board (IRB) approved human study and is a semi-finalist in the MedTech Innovator competition.

“We are so thrilled that IntuiTap Medical was nominated as a semi-finalist for Tech.Co’s Startup of the Year,” said Jessica Traver, CEO of IntuiTap. “We would love the opportunity to go to San Francisco to compete at the Innovate! and Celebrate Conference in the fall.”
