TinyKicks is developing a wireless flexible health-monitoring smart sensor that captures fetal movement and uses machine learning to predict and guide healthy pregnancy outcomes. Every pregnant woman is told by her physician to count and record on a daily basis the number of times she ‘feels’ her fetus kick. Decreased kick frequency is associated with prematurity, low birth weight or stillbirth. TinyKicks eliminates the subjectivity of self-reporting, increases compliance, decreases costs associated with pregnancy complications, and tracks pregnancy health. Perception of decreased movement is subjective, inaccurate and results in unnecessary stress and costly hospital visits. There remains an unmet need for continuous & objective monitoring.
