BeckerSmith Medical developed the first external Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) lumbar drain Monitoring System, transforming the old risky unsafe manually operated stopcock valve gravity bag drains into a safe fully automated, pre-programmable computer controlled valve system device we call FlowSafe. The RNs program flow rates via touch screen and walk away never having to return to open and close, EVERY HOUR, the manually operated stopcocks with current standard of care gravity bags. Our version 2.0 includes both Lumbar and Ventricular drainage expanding the market 5x vs. Lumbar alone. We submit our 510(k) package in late July 2014.
