STENTiT has published two new preclinical studies on how its Resorbable Fibrillated Scaffold (RFS) interacts with the vessel after implantation. The first shows that the strut-free RFS creates more uniform near-wall blood-flow patterns than those typically seen with strut-based stents; the second follows the RFS and vessel over the first three months, showing that blood-flow performance remained largely preserved throughout early vessel adaptation. Together, the studies provide new insights into the relationship between scaffold design, blood flow and vascular remodelling. The RFS is an investigational device and is not approved for sale in any jurisdiction.
