Job Description
Title: Program Associate
Position: Full-Time
Location: Los Angeles
The Program Associate provides support for day-to-day operations at MedTech Innovator, a global accelerator for companies that are transforming healthcare. Responsibilities include performing a variety of administrative, event planning, and communications tasks. The Program Associate reports directly to and works closely with the Program Director to ensure the success of MedTech Innovator’s regional pitch events, conference showcases, and accelerator program. The position requires creative problem-solving, superior multitasking and organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with the passion and desire to grow within an exciting entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning/Program Execution (35%)
- Works with Program Director to define and accomplish program goals
- Provides assistance in support of MedTech Innovator’s programming, including planning and coordinating pitch events, competitions, and workshops
- Maintains event information webpages and registrations lists
- Provides on-site support for events and acts as primary point person
Program Administration (35%)
- Performs administrative support duties, including scheduling meetings and conference calls, recording meeting notes, and maintaining CRM databases
- Coordinates travel itinerary, hotel booking, and conference registration for staff
- Manages vendor and contractor relationships to ensure delivery and timely payment for goods and services
- Maintains and serves as subject matter expert on company policies and procedures
Communications (30%)
- Acts as a representative for the program to external partners and sponsors
- Serves as primary point of contact for fielding general program inquiries
- Assists in recruitment of program participants by planning and executing outreach campaigns
- Assists in the creation of promotional materials including flyers, banners, and videos
- Develops and implements social media strategy
Qualifications:
- BA / BS from an accredited university
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently
- Personable with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness and ability to adapt to rapidly evolving environments
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and technical savvy to quickly pick up new software/applications
- Graphic design or video editing experience a plus
