Nanochon has brought its manufacturing cell at The Launchport online and manufactured its first batch of Chondrograft implants as it prepares for its pivotal trial. Chondrograft is engineered from a synthetic, nylon-based composite material that is 3D printed via fused filament fabrication, producing a complex, highly engineered structure that mimics the organized collagen fiber structure of natural cartilage. This gives the implant cartilage-matched mechanical properties: low friction, load-bearing, and able to provide immediate mechanical support to the joint.
