Flux Robotics has partnered with Nano4Imaging as the OEM partner for its AXIOM steerable magnetic guidewire, with the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT supporting the development of advanced manufacturing processes for the device. Because AXIOM combines highly compact mechanical structures with miniature magnetic components, producing it requires expertise well beyond conventional guidewire manufacturing. The collaboration gives the company a strong engineering foundation to move the technology toward repeatable, scalable manufacturing, an important step on its path toward the clinic.
