Altrazeal Life Sciences presented interim results at SAWC Fall 2026 from an ongoing multicenter, randomized controlled Phase IV trial evaluating Altrazeal in partial-thickness burns. In 27 of the planned 50 patients, Altrazeal significantly outperformed standard-of-care dressings, with faster daily reduction in pain scores (p<0.0001) and wound area (p=0.019), fewer weekly dressing changes (p<0.001), and no Altrazeal-related adverse events reported. The trial is funded by the Naval Medical Research Command’s Naval Advanced Medical Development program through the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC).
