AION Biosystems has been selected as one of 15 companies for the Mayo Clinic Platform Surgical Innovation Challenge, taking place Nov. 14–16 in Rochester, Minnesota. Over three days, participating teams will work alongside clinical and technical mentors, use de-identified data in a secure environment, and build proof-of-concept solutions around challenges sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Department of Surgery. AION Biosystems is developing long-term continuous temperature monitoring to catch surgical complications that develop after patients leave the hospital, when early warning signs often go undetected, giving clinicians more time to intervene and helping avoid hospitalizations.
