More than 700 startups from around the world participated in the Accenture HealthTech Innovation Challenge that culminated on January 8th at the Startup Health Festival in San Francisco—part of the 36th annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. Startups participating in the Challenge presented innovative technology and business models to help improve the way people access and manage healthcare. The overall goal of the Challenge is to pair life and health sciences organizations with leading startups to assist in the development of their healthcare solutions technology.

New York City-based Nanowear was named the Innovation Champion for their cognitive heart failure (CHF) monitoring device, SimpleSense.  The technology is an undergarment for patients monitoring CHF-related events, that once captured is transmitted to medical professionals who assess the patient’s progress and health.

In addition to Nanowear’s title of champion, they and other winning startups participate in Startup Health’s Masterclass program with additional access to Startup Health HQ, an exclusive online network for companies transforming healthcare, further assisting them in bringing their ideas and technology to the market.
