East Coast Pitch Event: April 9 & 10, 2025

The MedTech Innovator Road Tour is a series of pitch events held in the US, internationally, and virtually. Each event features outstanding medical device, diagnostic, or digital health companies selected from this year’s pool of over 1,000 applications. The East Coast stop will be in College Park on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10, and will open with a judge’s reception on Tuesday, April 8. Invited startups have the opportunity to meet and receive feedback from MedTech Innovator partners, such as Asahi Intecc, BD, Dexcom, Edwards Lifesciences, Johnson & Johnson, NIPRO, and Olympus as well as other members of the ecosystem. Importantly, the East Coast Pitch Event serves as a critical step in selecting the participants for the MedTech Innovator 2025 cohort.

Logistics
Up to 80 companies will pitch over the two-day event, 40 on day 1 and 40 on day 2. Each day of the event will be split between a morning and an afternoon session, with each session featuring 20 startups. We will begin each session with a lightning round of one-minute pitches from each of the companies in that session. Then we will move into pre-assigned judging groups, where you will evaluate 5 companies per session. If you are present for both sessions you will see a maximum of 10 companies pitch per day. These pitch rounds will each be 20 minute blocks of time per company evaluation: a five minute pitch and 15 minutes for Q&A and discussion. After this time we will rotate the companies and repeat. You will fill out and submit a judging form via a provided tablet for each company that you see pitch. The dress code is business casual.
