Innovator Summit 2024

This year’s invite-only Innovator Summit was held on June 12-13 at The Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. The annual Summit is a lively and engaging event that exclusively allows the leadership teams from our latest cohort of startups to get to know each other in an immersive environment, exchange ideas with MedTech Innovator’s partners, alumni, and other industry leaders, and form lasting relationships. At this year’s summit, the first Singapore-US Market Access cohort joined the MedTech Innovator, BioTools Innovator and MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific cohorts at this inspiring in-person event.

Days 1 & 2 Innovator Summit @ The Computer History Museum

On the first day, cohort companies had the opportunity to attend breakout sessions with MTI partner-led and alumni-led small group discussions. They received insights on multiple topics such as attracting talent, fundraising tips, advancing R&D endeavors in challenging times, and much more. Companies also had the opportunity to meet 1:1 with subject matter experts. At the conclusion of the day, participants enjoyed our third annual scavenger hunt and learned about computer history while getting to know other members of the ecosystem.

It has been a phenomenal experience—the best accelerator I’ve been involved in during my 25+ years in the medical field. MedTech Innovator provided incredible support, bringing in thought leaders every week to share real-time insights and solutions from the field. They connected us with companies that could help us at every stage, making it an invaluable resource as the medical field continues to evolve.

Day 2 started with the Women’s Morning Mixer and an energizing walk with MedTech Innovator CEO Paul Grand. The day’s content-rich programming offered continued growth opportunities for participants. Attendees were able to interact with subject matter experts from MTI partner companies and discuss a myriad of topics. Later, the cohorts from each program attended separate sessions. The MedTech Innovator cohort discussed acquisition anecdotes; the BioTools Innovator cohort participated in life science tools workshops and received tips on working with strategics; and the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific and US-Singapore cohorts explored how to achieve payment in a US market and how to overcome challenges to asian medtech companies expanding to the US. The day also featured 12 Japan companies presenting at the US-Japan Healthcare Connection Reverse Pitch Program.
